What changes from the 15 Pro Max to the 16 Pro Max?+
The 16 Pro Max increases the display from 6.7 to 6.9 inches, adds A18 Pro and Camera Control, upgrades Ultra Wide from 12MP to 48MP, and supports 4K Dolby Vision up to 120 fps on Fusion. Both have a dedicated 5x Telephoto and USB 3. The 16 model weighs 227 grams versus 221.
Does the iPhone 16 Pro Max have a 120Hz display?+
Yes. ProMotion adapts the refresh rate up to 120Hz. It is not a fixed 120Hz in every situation, so check it with supported content and the appropriate display settings.
What should I know about ProRes and storage?+
ProRes up to 4K at 120 fps requires compatible external storage. Internal recording supports up to 4K at 30 fps. These files can be large, so consider storage and backups before choosing. Cinematic mode is a separate feature and supports up to 4K HDR at 30 fps.
